NEW BLOG: Rockfield Media brings clients together to take the win

The Rockfield Media team made a coordinated effort to eventually secure Corkills Volkswagen Wigan first place in the annual Volkswagen Retailer Christmas Display Competition this December.
Each Volkswagen Retailer was given the challenge to create something special in their showrooms that must reflect Volkswagen's sustainability, promote Volkswagen accessories as Christmas Gifts, and engage the dealership team.
Challenge accepted! Working with fellow clients and Wigan-based businesses Festive Lights and MiRiDER ebikes, we turned to our creative talents to not only provide the key ingredients of the display but finding the two ever-so-helpful Elves to build it!
We felt we should add to the fun and appoint two members of the Corkills team to play the parts of the mischievous elves. With storyboard agreed upon, and costumes and props secured (including the 1970's Beetle Cabriolet), we spent time with the team capturing the content before editing it into a short film.
The film was submitted as a part of the competition entry, and also released on Corkills social media channels in the week leading up to Christmas 2023.
The real winner? Local Wigan Charity which supports families in crisis, The Brick who will receive a £250 donation from Volkswagen in Corkills name.
We thoroughly enjoyed bringing this idea to life and working with the Corkills, Festive Lights and MiRiDER teams to make a positive difference in Wigan.
